Chicago, Illinois // Garfield Park Conservatory
My husband, Kevin, turned 30 last week, and we planned a trip down to one of our favorite places to celebrate. Normally when we go to Chicago, we just eat our way through town and off we go. This time I was on a mission to look at spots for a potential styled wedding shoot. If you're looking for a gorgeous spot to have a wedding, look no further. Seriously! Built in 1908, the Garfield Park Conservatory hosts thousands of plants on approximately 4.5 acres indoors and out. Though it has changed throughout the years, and plants have come and gone, the mission of the conservatory stays the same. They pride themselves on providing, "landscape art under glass", a revolutionary concept in 1906. A piece of beauty melded with history, the conservatory is perfect for the nature lover, or any couple looking to get married with a beautiful backdrop. Check out some of my pictures from my visit below, and click on them to reveal un-cropped versions. If you're having a Garfield Park wedding, *shameless plug* you know who to call!
